Flexlearn Remote Schooling

Flexlearn is on the front lines of adapting remote learning/online classes. We started this new type of learning and teaching due to the current worldwide situation since mid-March 2020 and achieved great results and excellent comments from students and families.

Main platforms that Flexlearn is using:

  • StoryJumper: Create, collaborate and share books
  • Zoom: An online classroom allowing audio and video sharing, screen sharing, working on a whiteboard and recording
  • Google classroom: Create, distribute, and grade assignments
  • Google Tour Creator: Create VR tour using imagery from Google's Street View, your own 360-degree photos
  • Kahoot: A game-based learning platform offering fun activities to a remote class
  • Quizlet: Trains students via online flashcards and various games and tests
Technologies that Flexlearn is exploring:
  • Screencastify: Record videos and slide shows easily
  • Edpuzzle: Take any video and add questions to make it interactive
  • Insert Learning: Make websites interactive
  • Pear Deck: Add interactive questions and formative assessments
  • Flipgrid: Supports self-assessment; motivates students to speak; great for parent involvement and communication
  • Canvas: Allows teachers to post grades, information, and assignments online
  • Seesaw: Students add photos, videos, drawings, text, and more to show what they know. Teachers can see these posts and share with families
Our experiences on remote class/ online teaching:
  • Eye contact
  • Body language
  • Listen
  • Voice and facial expression
  • Writing strokes, type characters or draw on the screen
  • Above all, maintaining efficient communication and interaction, as in an ordinary classroom, is the key to our success!
